#20 Week15 Final Test

I had the Networked Media Production exam this morning. Most of the questions were not easy as I thought especially the question about the long tail. I didn't know how to answer, so I drew an elephant and a mouse with the long tail. Hope that Mitchell will get some mark for me [Ha ha ha].

Anyway, It seems like I couldn't get anything much from this subject, but I can feel like my life is updating!

#19 Helping Sai + New experience!

This week I'm working on my project. I interviewed my friend what they are thinking about Youtube. I've got many experience. In the last part of my VDO; for example, I couldn't remember what I had to say, so I put me script under the camera in order to read. Ha ha ha...

By the way, Sai asked me to help her project! Interestingly, I've got the experience
and it is really funny....
That is because I have not only to talk alone for the whole story, I also play in 2 characters roles.
There are Person (feel good for Youtube) + Person (feel bad for Youtube).

At first, I've just talked for the good character. Then... this is a problem, I had to talked about Youtube in the bad way, and it supposed to match with the first character that I had played already.

The solution is I + Sai imported the first VDO on the computer. So, I knew when I had to talk while the first VDO is playing on the computer screen.

We film at building 10, and we spent around 2 hrs. for finishing.

This week, lecture demonstrated an interesting topic.
Yet, I still don't get it
but I explain a little bit

It introduces new way of experiencing content.
Also, it can be said that it's about combining service.

#17 Talking about Youtube with 'Max'

I didn't go to the lecture and tutorial; however, I + Sai went to Max class which is on Wednesday afternoon.
We talked about Youtube assignment.
Max said that we can do like a minute documentary and make it funny, BUT It must rely on the truth!!!!

So, I started to plan for shooting.

#16 week13 Data Visualisation

At first, I thought that it's not necessary to know it because we've experienced already.
Later on; however, I've found many interesting in this topic.... and I can adapt it for my art/design works.

Data Visualisation = the way that people present the data in order to make audiences understand easily 'n' clearly.

#15 week12 Changed to Youtube T^T [Car Accidence]

I'm so poor!! Someone broke my car and stole my whole set of camera on Monday's night. It really makes me feel that I don't want to live my life in Canberra... may be Australia.
Do you know why? That is because when things occur... I called police and then...
Police: Anyone hurt?
Me: Nope
Police: Ok. So, WE WON"T GO!
Hello!!! is it normal for Police in Australia? I thought that Canberra is safe because it's the government city. Police's always good at giving people the ticket for speeding or whatever, but they're really shit for protecting people.
I'm so depress.!

However, I can't follow my plan for projectB because my camera's gone!!!!

So, I change the topic to Youtube one. I might be easy for me, I guess.

#14 Choosen the topic for Assignment 'B'

This week teacher informed us about the final assignment. I might choose the first topic which is about taking the photo.
Personally, I love to go at night time to take photoes; therefore, I think this topic is the best for me.
However, I've got a plan what I'm gonna do for this work now.
Because I have to post my explanation under my picture on Google map, this story is going to be the combination of the spectacular places in Canberra in order to advertise to tourists such as National Museum, Parament house, etc..

#13 Week11 HTML + CSS Code

Oh my God!!! I thought that I no need to know how to write the code, but Max talked about it in the lecture and Nathan taught how to write in the tutorial!!!! In the class, I had to write the code on the HTML and CSS. I'm still so confused! I can only distinguish between them, but I still don't know how to write it probably.

HyperText Markup Language = The set of make up symbol or codes which inserted in a file intented for display on World Wide Web browser page.

Cascading Style Sheet = A series of instructions that specify how text should appear on a web page. Also it is used to set style for text, borders, and other elements.

#12 Week10 Multiplicity

Today, I've learned about 'Wisdom of crowds'. It didn't make sense for me at first. After I looked up on the Wikipedia, I understand it ,and it really is the best sample of this topic.

'Wisdom of Crowds' is about aggregation of information in group of people/ or combination of people's decisions.

It combines with.....
1 Diversity of opinion
Each person have private info.
2 Independence
Each person have their own opinion
3 Decentralisation
They are able to specialise + draw on their local knowleadge
4 Aggregation

Umm... this one is hard to explain, but I can give an example.
Like I said... Wikipedia is the best sample. That's because everyone can post their knowledge , yet everyone else also can change/ adapt [ I should use Improve, but it's not always] the exist information.

#11 History of the Internet

I'm so bored, I've got nothing to do. Therefore, I just look at something in order to update my blog for Networked Media Production subject. Thus, I searched about History of the Internet.

The Internet was ARPANET (in USA)
Advanced Research Projects Agency used to connect computer networks across USA and then across around the world.

Anyway, people used it for sending the data. Unfortunately, the Internet at that time is so slow, and the data is quite huge! Thank God that humans are so clever, they chop the data down in order to make it smaller [called 'Packet switching'].

However, they got some problem with the data because the receivers did not know which data comes first. Therefore, every time when they send the packet switching, they attached Metadata, which controls the direction of packet switching, as well.

#10 Holiday Trip in Sydney!

Most of my clothes in my closet are T-shirt. So, it can be said that I love to wear T-shirt the most. Finally, I found the shop which is plenty of cool T-shirt. There are more than 100 design for me to pick, yet I bought just one because of the limitation of the size. The shop name is DesignTshirtsStoregraniph. Also, the website is so cool. I can pick their design and adapt it for my work or assignment.

#9 Work experience @ CASA

CASA = Civil Aviation Safety Authority
At first, I was so confused why their job is about Aircraft, Airport, or Pilot. Interestingly, they work on about security in the air; thus, they have to do regulation + the system which can control and keep track of every situation. Significantly, they use ORACLE for doing the system. I'll find what it is. They just told me that if something happens or any problem, this company will solve.
By the way, I'm getting bored now because I have to read and learn how they work in the process. It's not about Media at all. However, I'm dreaming about work experience at Prime channel now. Hmm, I wish!!!

#8 After Assignment1

I couldn't figure out how to use dreamweaver, so I decided to use 'Blogger' which i didn't want to. My work is really bad, and it's totally different from my plan, yet I finished it. Anyway, now I've got a work experience job from CASA. I think it would be something which I can learn about the internet, and I'll post it on my blog for the holiday coming.

#5 Assignment one

I've been trying so hard to do the first assignment which is about Architecture. I wanted to put all the architecture around the world. Sadly, I'm fussy so much about it ; thus, I have to do website which I have no idea how to make it. Yet, I asked my friend to teach me the Dreamweaver. Also, it's impossible to put everything within 2weeks.
For this assignment;however, I'll do only in the USA, and it'll be departed in each state. They include their particular Architectures, which I found many in the books.
All in all, I try to finish it as much as I can, and after this assignment I'll continue to collect them and put in my website as my hobby.

#4 Week4 Some Reading [Networked Media]

Media = A medium. if we thing about the process of communication, medium can be considered as a channel which allows people to communicate or express the idea.
Networked = According to process of communication which basically combines with sender, message, channel, and receiver. It can be [1 to 1 like telephone], or [Many to 1 like movie].
However, Networked is [Many to Many].
That's because people can not only put their ideas/ decisions on website, they also get someone else's ideas.

#3Post: Column in Magazine

I read some column in the Magazine while I was waiting for the doctor yesterday. Interestingly, the column that I found it's about blog on the Internet. They made a blog about Hollywood star. At first, they made it just for fun, but a few year after that more than 20,000 people access to their blog per month. So, they think that it can be their business. People not only keep sending the e-mail to ask about it, but there're many advertisers also contact them in order to advertise their products and services.
However, after that it makes me feel more interested in Network Media Production, and I try to find something to improve my blog such as how I put music or video without using Youtube and so on.

After lecture, I've been trying to find something for adapting my blog especially tags 'n' links. Also, I've been searching my interesting stuff such as Architecture, Industrial Design, Cameras, Print Ads, Font, or Funny stuff. In addition, I'm trying to make my blog differ from others, but still I don't know how. Ha ha ha
To be honest, I wasn't interested in this subject at all, and I thought that it wasn't important for my degree. Yet, now I'm having fun with it; also, it's because I study Media. So these kinds of things I suppose to know how to use & make it. Am i right? Although It's just a simple thing, I realise how useful it is as the lecturer said that the blog can give you a job!
